Day 1

Morning
Start this fun-filled day with a hearty breakfast, and then head to Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East.

About fifteen minutes east of downtown Toronto, the Ontario Science Centre inspires young minds through engaging experiences in science.  With over 600 cool exhibits in 10 halls plus an IMAX theatre, it’s non-stop hands-on fun.   Make your hair stand on end at the Electricity Centre, or go on a virtual flight from an eagle’s perspective.  Examine a real human skeleton, an elephant heart and find out what you’ll look like in the future in the Human Body exhibit.  Go for a virtual bobsled run in the Sports Centre.  Build a house using a four-metre crane or perform in a mini music studio.  Go ahead, splash and drip all you want in the Water Play Area.  What’s playing at the IMAX theatre?  You’ve never seen a screen this big – you’ll feel like you’re right in the movie. You won’t want to leave, but make time for lunch at the Valley Marketplace or Galileo’s Bistro.

Getting there:
By transit:  From downtown Toronto, take the Yonge Street subway line north to the Eglinton station and transfer to the Eglinton East (route 34) bus. Get off at Don Mills Road.
By car:  Take the Don Valley Parkway north until Don Mills Road north and then follow the signs.

Afternoon
Head south to the Old Town neighbourhood and spend the rest of the day exploring Toronto’s historic roots.

Old Town is an important historical and cultural area that dates back to Toronto’s beginnings in the early 19^th century. Home to one of Ontario’s largest concentrations of Victorian architecture, Old Town is a community of distinct neighbourhoods featuring nifty boutiques, tempting restaurants and events celebrating culture, art and music. Great places to visit include St. Lawrence market, the Distillery District, early courthouses, courtyards and churches. Stop for dinner at a cozy neighbourhood restaurant or café.

Day 2

Morning
Get an early start and opt for breakfast on the go so that you get the most out of the wild day ahead of you.

Head out of the city and experience the thrills of the animal kingdom at African Lion Safari. A drive-through wildlife park, this attraction is home to over 1,000 exotic birds and animals that roam freely throughout large game reserves. You can drive through in your own car or take the Safari Tour Bus. Don’t forget your camera!

Afternoon
Take a break over lunch to decide how to spend the rest of the afternoon at African Lion Safari. Choose from live animal shows, nature tours, boat rides and other fun activities featuring exotic animals.

Evening
